    “OUR MEDIA TRAINING FROM MIP HAS PAID OFF!”

    We recently received the following email from one of our clients.  To see the video click the link below.   

    “Hello All: At 10:15 this morning, we received a call from Channel 7 news requesting an interview with our Vice President. The reporter arrived at our office @ 11:30 for the interview. The piece is scheduled to air today on Channel 7 News at 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 PM.  The piece will also run on www.nbcsandiego.com later this afternoon.   

    Our VP did an excellent job responding to several questions involving layoffs and the financial issues surrounding layoffs – thanks to the training all three of you provided.  He also touched on retirement plan distributions, social security, and he presented some general financial planning advice.  Prior to the interview, we were able to quickly brainstorm ideas and possible sound bites.  He was concise, brief, accurate and simple – just as you taught us.

    Bottom line:  We were able to prepare for the interview in under an hour and as a firm, we looked prepared, professional, and competent.  After the interview, I mentioned that our firm has been media trained and I reiterated the fact that Blankinship & Foster values educating the public on Financial Planning matters and to let us know if our firm can be a resource to them in the future.
